The simple answer to this is: probably not? However, I am no expert in these kinds of things.

My friend Joe Gillard is, however! Let’s ask him? (that link goes to one of his PhD papers which isn’t quite based on this, but does feature Superstring Vacua and Superstrings and Heterotic Strings, according to its keywords… good bedtime reading!)
